Small Signs On The Horizon For Carlos Vela

There was a small sign on the horizon for Mexican hitman Carlos Vela as he returned to the bench in Arsenal’s shocking draw against Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.

The young 21 years old got the call by Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger for the 18-man strong squad, but Wenger never had in his mind to let the young Mexican play against the Blues. That is for sure,  because Carlos was sitting the full-time on the bench without getting an order for warming up for a possible short performance in the end.

The Gunners got a late goal, thanks to substitute Samir Nasri, as the French midfielder banged a 19 yards right footed effort past Joe Hart into the far corner , but Kevin Philipps was able to equalise in stoppage time for the Blues, forced by a horrible mistake of Arsenal netminder Manuel Almunia.

The Gunners are now 4 points behind Manchester United in the Barclays Premiership and there are serious doubts that Wenger’s team can fight for silverware in the Premier league, but as well as in the Champions League, with Arsenal facing Barcelona in the Quarter finals.

We shall be happy for any small lights we can see on the end of the tunnel for Carlitos, so that we should continue to support him that he is not losing his believe!
