Arsenal’s Vela Prepares Himself For Battle With Fellow Teammates

21 years old Mexican sensation Carlos Vela had a bad start into the FIFA World Cup as nothing worked for him in the opening clash against home side South Africa at Soccer City in Johannesburg

Vela had a goal disallowed, because of a offside decision which is difficult to explain to peoples who does not know this rule. The decision was definitely the right decision in this situation, bad for Vela but it was fair to South Africa.

On a other point once again fellow bloggers has hinted out on Vela after the first performance of this Fifa World Cup with not understandable headlines that Carlos was disappointing, instead they thought Abou Diaby was impressive. I think Abou Diaby played a really good match, good ball control, good runs through the ranks, but sorry guys it was not impressive. Vela wasn’t good in the opener but he hasn’t disappointed at all.

For the upcoming battle with his Arsenal Teammates (Sagna, Diaby, Clichy, Gallas) Vela and the El-Tri should be not worried at all, because they played better in the first game as  the arguing side of head coach Raymond Domenech. Otherwise Carlitos has warned his team about the quality of the french side in his last press conference as well as he tried to describe why he was not able to score in the opener.

“I wouldn’t know how to answer this question”

“For example, I always want to score all the goals possible. I’m not thinking about missing them, I don’t gain anything by missing them on purpose. You always try to do your best work and win the game. Unfortunately, in the last game luck wasn’t there to score a goal, but we’re calm because we’ve had the opportunities and we know that the goals have to come.”

“The team remains the same as when we started. We had a good first half(against South Africa), the second wasn’t as good, but the desire to keep on winning and making history is the same.”

“We have much quality and we have to keep on showing that in results. We know that you don’t just achieve things with words and we have two games to show that we’re a great team, to show that we can do things. Against France we’re going out to win, there’s no other option.”

“We know they’re great players and a great team, and at any moment they could wake up and do a good job. I think that we need to think in our work and leave aside what France is going to do because we know that we have a great team and we can win”

Vela expects to start against France on Thursday evening at the Peter-Mokaba-Stadium in Polokwane. Kickoff is at 8.30pm local time, so Carlos and the whole El-tri side need your support, because a win over France would get them close to reach the last 16 round.
