Vela Sits On the Bench As Arsenal Shut Down Aston Villa

20 years old Carlos Vela was an unused substitute, as Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side drive close to Chelsea and Manchester United in the Barclays Premiership with a big 3:0 win over Aston Villa.

The Gunners secured the victory in the second half, as Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas joined the pitch to score a brace and with just  few seconds left attacking midfielder Abou Diaby slotted home for the Gunners.

So the young Mexican have to wait until the December 30 to get back in action, as he could get some minutes on Wednesday, when the Gunners leaving Emirates to battle at Fratton Park with Portsmouth.

Last season Carlos has scored at this stadium his first Premier League goal and looks now to do it again there.

  1. With Everyone Coming Back to fitness it might be a good choice to go out on a loan, pre-world cup time. He needs some playing time and i dont think 10-15 mins a week can cut it… meh who knows maybe things will change

  2. Am a little puzzled why he’s featuring so little with Eduardo out of form and the other strikers injured. Really hope to see more of him in the second of the season.
