Vela Set To Shine For Gunners On Monday

19 years old Mexican forward Carlos Vela is set to shine for Arsenal, when the Gunners take on Championship side Cardiff City in the FA Cup 4th round replay match on Monday at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger is keen to give young Vela a run out, after he left him out of the squad for the Tottenham clash on weekend. Wenger knows that the young Mexican needs playing time now to find a way into Wenger’s starting lineup. Whenever Vela was on the pitch Arsenal improved there football with better passing and more quickness, so that it is very crucial for him to work hard on his qualities, as well as on his physical strength.

Arsenal’s supporter could see then an interesting attacking duet up front, if Arsene Wenger’s decides to give Croatian international Eduardo Da Silva his comeback on Monday. With the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor injured, as well as new signing Andrey Arshavin not eligible, the chance increases for Vela and Eduardo.

  1. Hi, I hope Vela starts against Cardif on Monday, however I don’t think Wenger will play him alongside Eduardo as they are too similar.
I think Vela will play as a left winger in this match, as Eboue is suspended, Arshavine is not eligible, Rosicky and Walcot are both injured.
So that leaves only Nasri and Vela as a players capable of playing and performing as a wingers, unless Wenger surprise us and plays Diaby on the left wing.
I noticed whenever Vela is introduced, he tries hard to impress the manager, but in the process he is becoming more selfish leading him to be predictable in his moves and then losing the ball and annoy other teammates.
Vela definitely deserves more chances to play and I hope he impresses so much in this match with a couple of assists and a goal.
    My line up would be:

    Sagna Song Djourou Gibbs
    Nasri Diaby Ramsey Vela
    Bendtner Eduardo

Subs: Van Persie, Denilson, Gallas, Toure, Wilshere, Bischoff and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas
I think this team can click nicely and win comfortably.

  2. Not a bad site, but please, check your English. The third paragraph is nonsensical. “The Gunners supporters could be see maybe a interesting
Arsenal strike force, if Arsene Wenger’s decides to give Croatian international
Eduardo Da Silva his comeback on Monday.” Huh? “could be see maybe a interesting”? And the whole article has commas where they shouldn’t be.

  3. I hope he gets a start he is a great asset, great passing, very direct knows how to score. Arsenal need this player with such a confident and positive attitude. come on Vela, Up the Gunners !!

  4. I hope he starts on Monday. For a 19 year old, the finishing that he has is just amazing. Hopefully an impressive performance including a goal against Cardiff might tempt Wenger to try him in the Premier League ahead of Bendtner as Adebayor is injured.

  5. Yes, give this talent a chance. He’s exceptional, I highly rate him. The only thing is Vela and Eduardo are two similar players, not sure they would pair up that well. I’d be prepared to eat my words though!

  6. I think is wright for Arsene Winger to make this disition for allowing the Mexician Arsenal starlet to bouns on arsenal 1st team bcuz he has the 1st team experince and skillful on the pich, he can change game and can score goals. and he is 10 time beter than Bendtner.

  7. He will shine.

  8. It took him this long to figure that out.

  9. Diaby won’t start since he’ll still be injured. I expect Ramsey and Song to start in the center of midfield with Vela and Nasri on the wings. RVP and Bendtner upfront and Gibbs coming in for Clichy being the only other change.
