Vela Bags A Hat-trick As Young Guns Destroy Sheffield Utd.

Young Mexican forward Carlos Vela has scored in his first competitive start for the Gunners tonight a hat-trick, as Arsenal destroyed Championship side Sheffield United by six goals to nill.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has named for tonight’s Carling Cup 3rd Round clash, the youngest ever Gunners side to face the Blades, including the first years scholars Jack Wilshere and Emmanuel Frimpong.

Vela has started up front alongside with Danish international Nicklas Bendtner and showed again his great partnership with the young Dane.

The Young Guns combined very well in the first minutes, so that Vela had his first action, as he cut inside from the right hand side, but unfortunately he was blocked before he could get a chance to sent a shot on goal.

31 minutes gone as the Young Guns got their goal, as Carlos Vela did a great turn to introduce Nicklas Bendtner and the 20 years old fired home with a quality 25 yards finish.

Few Minutes later, the lively Young Arsenal side should got their second, as 17 years old Aaron Ramsey did a magnificent backheel kick to realease Bendtner and the young Danish player showed again his composure, as he past Sheffield goalkeeper Paddy Kenny with a cool calm finish.

44 minutes are gone as Vela scored his first ever goal for the Gunners, as he was introduced by young Dane Nicklas Bendtner, to finish the ball with his left foot into the left corner.

The half time whistle came and the Young Guns earned standing ovations from the Arsenal supporters.

Just 4 minutes gone in the second half, as Vela raised his goal tally on two, as he controlled beautifully a great ball from Kieran Gibbs with his chest before chipping over Sheffield Goalkeeper Paddy Kenny from short distance.

And the Young Guns had not enough, as first year scholar Jack Wilshere past Paddy Kenny with his effort from outside the box, to make it 5:0 for Wenger’s side.

And Vela’s brilliant night had the magic moment, as Aaron Ramsey introduced the 19 years old and he drilled his left footed effort under the Sheffield Stopper into the net.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger said after the match to Arsenal TV Online:

“I believe every one in his position has done very well. From goalkeeper [Lukasz] Fabianski up to [Nicklas] Bendtner and Carlos Vela of course upfront they were great. You know already Bendtner and you discovered maybe a bit more about Vela. He is a clinical finisher.”

“I think he’s a player who has everything in his locker of a good striker. He’s agile, good first touch, very calm infront of goal, clinical and quick finisher and I just think he’s top class.”

What a brilliant night for all Arsenal and Vela Fans!!!

Next up for the young Mexican is the Premiership clash on Saturday against Hull City!!!

    Manure, he’s coming for you!!!

  4. All of Carlos’ goals were well taken, and all different, but that second one is an early candidate for goal of the season. The way he took it on his chest, spun around the defender and then chipped the keeper reminded me of the magic Denis Bergkamp would deliver.

  5. His quickness first touch create shoot space then easy to score….and he also prove his shoot skill ….another nights for a great STAR.

Adebayor RVP Vela Eduardo Bendtner Walcott , we have 6 types Striker .

  6. OMG Carlos was amazing, I know it’s his friend but looks to me like we got the best Mexican in England baby YEAHHHH!!! He and Bendtner makes a great striker force and have perfect understanding of each other.

  7. I have seen the second goal and it is simply amazing. Arsenal has indeed the best Mexican player in England, Dos Santos has been disappointing thus far. Arguably the best player Mexico has produced since the great Hugo Sanchez. Please keep us updated on the progress of our Aztec warrior Vela.

  8. Hope you brits like my boy vela over there. Hes amazing isnt he?

  9. I was there watching this game and I went away thinking Carlos Vela has a big role to play this season for the team. He was top quality – great finishing as well as fantastic dribbling ability. There were several times when he simply breezed past players in the style of Maradona. Keep it up, Carlos Vela!
