Wenger Excited By Vela’s Rapid Rate Of Development

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he was left impressed by Carlos Vela’s 28 minutes cameo against Newcastle United on Saturday, and enthused that the forward has a big future with the club.

Wenger told the Gunners official website on Tuesday:

“Yes, he looks like another one for the future,”

Vela is just 19-years-old, but is attracting the attention of all the fans who share the view that the Mexican should be given more chances to prove his worth. Wenger also admitted that his talents belie his young years.

“He is 19 years of age, he was born in 1989, and when you look at these players and what they can do at that age, I think it is very positive for the future of the Club.”

Carlos is currently away on international duty, and you can catch up with all the latest reports from how he gets on right here on Carlos Vela News.

  1. he looks like mido

  2. We don’t want Vela “for the future”. We want him to contribute now, this season to Arsenal.

  3. vela will take the premiership by storm if and when he starts playing reguarly which he will as rvp is made of glass

  4. I agree with Phil, we want him to start contributing right now… his waited enough… his READY for the BIG stage and he has proving it, in every level his played….LET HIM START…

  6. what’s the rush? the season just start my god, he will get to play just chill out. He hasn’t been playing because of the Mexico team games. For him to even say that is a great thing for Vela. Everybody can see he’s going to be huge and world class but we got to let him get there. He’s not there but he will be, Wenger and Vela knows it.

  7. yeah i agree.

Why rush the kid into the game everyone is saying about our squad but really its good enough to beat most teams the only time we will have trouble in my opinion is against the top 4 and we have no divine right to beat utd, cheslki, liverpool.

You need some luck in the season.

I was well pissed off that wenger never bought a player (dm) but he never and we have to support our team now, i have had my bitch but now its time to put your money behind the team and your voices.

If we showed the voices that we showed against newcastle then we would also win more games the players loved the way we was (i was there!) we out sang the geordies and really rocked the stadium.

So stop bitching and start singing!

  8. hopee to see himm soonnn ! now!! i cnt bre this no moree lool

  9. I think vela wil be a class act.. although a little one footed (allbeit left) he has been known to scor ewith his right. Reminds me of Reyes a little but a better finished product of.

He has pace, vision, skill and and eye for goal. I had to have a wry smile/laugh at the earlier comment about RVP. He is made of glass and alas I think this will hamper his progress at Arsenal. But maybe thats for another post.

Yes Vela will progress faster than Walcott did and be a gr8 link up player with Fab4.

  10. Just give him time and am so sure he’ll adapt for the physical aspect of the premiership. h’s got wat it takes to excel he’s got pace and can shield the ball well and moreso he’s not scared to have a go @ defenders so he’s got a future….

  11. Wenger should plan for both the future and the present. He shuld have bouhgt big names for the present as we wait for Vela to mature, otherwise Arsenal team will be a team of next season. Every season passes without a trophy. Nobody likes associating with loosers. Sponsers like Emirates Airlines will run away and the whole fun base will shrink. Wenger should look at that, he is only currently good for the shareholders because they are reaping good while spending less. The effect of loosing every season will trickle down to the fun base. The assured 4th position on the Premiership season is also under threat as Mancity and Tottenamare going to be serious contenders in addition to the traditional Arsenal and Liverpool.

  12. I THINK VELA IS A DELIGHT TO WATCH.

HIS BALL TECHNIQUES, BALL VISION & BALL PASSES IS VERY GREAT..
I THINK HE HAS GOING TO THROW OFF bendtner & rvp IF THEY DON’T IMPROVE THERE GAMES , COS THIS GUY vela HAS PACE TO BEAT ANY DEFENDER IN EUROPE & AROUND THE GLOBE.

I THINK or FEEL HE IS OUR SECRET ARMOURY FOR THIS SEASON..BEFORE I FORGET jack wilshere IS ALSO THE GUYS WE SHOULD WATCH-OUT FOR.

Jack Wilshere has SPEED , TECHNIQUE & VISION ON THE PITCH.

ALL WE NEED AS TRUE ARSENAL FANS’ IS PRAY FOR GoodLuck & Favour ALL THROUGH THIS SEASON.

I CAN WAIT TO WATCH OUR NEXT GAMES.

    Joe
