Arsenal’s Carlos Vela Selected For Mexico’s Clash With Honduras

The Mexican Football Federation have confirmed that Arsenal forward Carlos Vela has been selected by new national coach Sven Goran Eriksson, when his native Mexico take on Honduras on 20th August at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City for another Fifa World Championship CONCAF Qualifier.

The new head coach of Mexico Sven Goran Eriksson has selected a 25 man squad.

The 19 years old forward will travel after the Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion to Mexico City to join the national side, which included also his best friend and Tottenham new signing Giovanni dos Santos.

    I`m quite sure I`m not alone when I say that international matches, especially these rediculous friendlies do absolutely nothing for me. Whilst congratulations are in order for Carlos being selected to represent his country all I can say is “come home in one piece mate, Arsenal need you more than Mexico”.
