Arsenal’s Carlos Vela To Receive Spain Passport In The Next Few Days

On loan Arsenal prodigy Carlos Vela will receive his European Spanish passport in the next few days, which will enable him to gain entry to the UK to join Arsene Wenger’s Premiership side for the next season.

The Spanish government received Vela’s application to get the Spanish citizenship in June 2006.

However this is not the first time Arsenal have tried to gain the permit for Carlos Vela’s services, because last year they also made an appeal, but Arsenal failed to get a work permit for the young whizkid and decided, to wait for another year to take him back to the Emirates.

After loan spells with Celta Vigo as well as Salamanca plus CA Osasuna everything is set for Vela to complete his dream move to Arsenal.

In other news, our friends at Young Guns have awarded Carlos Vela as there “Loanee of The Year”

  1. :D:D great news

  2. I hope he does well for us, he is a real talent down that left side and he could help us a lot especially rosicky is out all the time, but dont be surprised if he becomes the new reyes. i think he might face problems getting in to the english league because its much faster than the spanish league. but lets hope for good news and i hope he could give us width.. gunners for life

  3. Hope he’ll join us soon .. Carlos is a great player , with great skills and an enormous potentiel , but as a young player , i think patience is extremly required to suceed in such a big club as Arsenal ! Anyway , we’ll be waiting for coz we need some fresh talent down the left side !

  4. There is no need to hope he will succeed. All the football journalists always list Carlos Vela within the top 10 youngsters in the world. And for good reason too. If Carlos Vela was bought right now he would command a transfer fee in excess of £15M.

He is ranked alongside people like Pato, Bojan, Dos Santo, Aguero and so on. These are the words of professionals not mine. Lets not forget Wenger saying ‘I believe 100% that Carlos will make it at the highest level’. Be very excited about him, very excited.

  5. I wouldn’t rate Vela alongside Dos Santos…Vela is better than him! Can’t wait to see him at the Emirates Cup!

  7. I’m really looking forward to seeing him in an Arsenal shirt too. I just hope he will settle here and not be another Reyes in regards to the weather etc, etc!

  8. bertie wooster

why does everyone think giovani dos santos is bad? ofcourse he hasnt seemed quite as good as bojan this year but he’s had less matches and the media and fans have been undermining him alot. tbh if barca are going to get rid of him I’d be more then happy if he came to arsenal.

oh and great news, i can’t wait to see vela in an arsenal shirt.

  9. I will like to have a chat with Fabrigas.Gunner for live.

  10. lets be patient because it will take time for vela to get use to the english league! if he doesn’t do a good beggining season its not gonna be mainly his fault. so lets wait for him and support him.
