Match Preview: Osasuna vs Almeria


On loan Arsenal forward Carlos Vela are in action on Sunday in the Spanish league La Liga with his club CA Osasuna Pamplona against the surprise side of Union Deportiva Almeria at home in a very crucial matchup. Carlos Vela will start on the left wing to support spanish striker Kike Sola up front. Carlos played in the last match decent 73 minutes against the very strong side of Villarreal. Vela and his teammates looking for the fourth home victory in row at Estadio de Navarra.

After the goaless draw against Villarreal at Estadio El Madrigal last weekend have the team from coach Jose Angel Ziganda the big chance to make the next important step to avoid relegation for the club, when Osasuna pick up all three points on Sunday evening.

The surprise side UD Almeria from coach Unai Emery are currently on 8th position of the league table and of course the best climbers in this La Liga season. On the last matchday Almeria got one point at home against Athletic Bilbao and is now looking to travel back on sunday with three points in the bag. 

Vela’s side are currently 14th with 30 points with UD Almeria actually on midfield position 8th with 37 points so the side from coach Unai Emery is 7 points ahead of the side from the young mexican whizkid, and firm favourites to turn over the home side on Sunday and collect all three points.

Kickoff at Estadio Reyno de Navarra in Pamplona is on Sunday 9th of March 5pm (CET) and 4pm English time.

The Osasunistas must do about injuries without center back Miguel Flano as well as iran international Javad Nekounam as well as swiss international Xavier Margairaz. Big doubts for Sunday are french midfielder Ludovic Delporte as well as defender Josetxo.
