After sitting out on the sidelines for a long time, because of a suspect ankle injury, which he suffered in the opening clash of this years CONCACAF Gold Cup, young Arsenal hotshot Carlos Vela is preparing himself with his national teammates for the World Cup Qualifier against El Salvador tonight at the Estadio Azteca.

Vela has just returned after a long absence in Arsenal’s Carling Cup clash with West Bromwich Albion, as Arsene Wenger’s young guns have find a way to get in the next round, but first of all it needed a fantastic comeback performance from the young Mexican. Days later Vela has received from the Manager 13 minutes match time in the UEFA Champions League clash with Olimpiacos Piräus. He really showed in both matches that he is on the way to coming back, but of course it needs time to find a place in Arsene Wenger’s strong 18-man squad for the Premier League.

This week on Arsenal TV Online, Vela has admitted that he did not want to go out on loan in the winter transfer window and has denied the rumours which has linked him with Fulham Football Club as well as Spanish La Liga side Deportivo Xerez.

El Tri coach Javier Aguirre could decide tonight to bring the 20 years old from the bench, because of lacking match time.

Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has told the “News of the world” that he does not want to buy players, to stop the development of his youngsters. The french man especially has mentioned his exciting prospects  Carlos Vela, Aaron Ramsey as well as Jack Wilshere.

“We now have Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Carlos Vela ready. They are 17, 18 and 20 years old.

“They should not have to switch clubs in order to be able to play. In that case, all the work we put into them would have been wasted.

“Teenagers at Arsenal are given a sound training in football and an excellent social training.

“They live with guest parents whom we have been monitoring and selecting for years.

“Cesc Fabregas (now skipper) and Philippe Senderos lived with the same guest mother. She brought them to Champions League matches in her little Renault 5.”

For Wenger’s philosophy forcing the development of his youngsters, so that they can later develop to great football players, for that youth system he has received a huge reputation in the Managers world.

When other teams spending big on experience players, Wenger always show his tremendous  believe and faith in his young prospects.

Vela has now joined the Mexican national side for their next encounter!

Young Hotshot Carlos Vela was introduced after 77 Minutes in tonights UEFA Champions League clash with Olympiacos Piräus, as Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has decided to give the young Mexican a run out to replace French midfielder Abou Diaby.

The plan of the French man was that Vela can force some problems on the wings for the back four line of Olympiacos. And immediately after he was introduced Arsenal had their goal, even though Vela wasn’t involved, as Fabregas played a ball to Eduardo, so that he could find Robin van Persie and the Dutch man smahes home from close range.

The second for the Gunners came 8 Minutes later, as Andrey Arshavin sealed the 2:0 victory.

With Nicklas Bendtner and still Theo Walcott missing the match, Arsene Wenger has added the young  Mexican to his 18man Squad.

With just an hour remaining in this years summer transfer window, a  loan move for young Mexican Carlos Vela  could be possible, as several reports from London linking him with a transfer deadline  loan deal with Fulham Football Club.

Vela has now a difficult ankle injury, which forced him out of action in the first weeks of the new campaign. The 20 years old has won the Gold Cup with his native Mexico and joined then Arsene Wenger’s side for pre season training.

Arsene Wenger wants more match time for the young lad, but he cannot afford him that actually at Arsenal.

It is called that the Arsenal Manager wants a deal which shows Norwegian centre back Brede Hangeland joining the Gunners.

Actually there are negotiations about the possible loan move from Vela to Craven Cottage, but nothing is decided yet.

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has returned for his native Mexico tonight, as Javier Aguirre’s side won the semifinal encounter with Costa Rica after penalty shootout, so they could  reach the final of the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Vela has his comeback, as he entered the pitch after 81 minutes by replacing Cruz Azul defender Fausto Manuel Pinto.

Then Mexico should get their late goal as Guillermo Franco fired home after 88 minutes, but Costa Rica had a tremendous answer, as Admira Wacker Mödling player Froylán Ledezma equalised in the 90th minute.

Both teams could not score a goal in the overtime, so that the match must be decided in penalty shootout, where Mexico showed the better nerves.

Finally 20 years old Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has sent his native Mexico with the last penalty into the final!!

That also means that Carlos will not travel to Austria in the next days, where he is expected in Arsenal’s trainings camp, when he has finished his adventure with Mexico.

Young 20 years old Carlos Vela is ready to shine for his native country, as he has fully recovered from his leg injury which he suffered in the first match of the Gold Cup 2009 (Copa de Oro) against Nicaragua.

The Mexican national side arrived yesterday in Dallas (Texas), to prepare for the upcoming Quarterfinal clash, when Mexico take on Haiti at the Cowboys stadium.

Mexico head coach has admitted on a official press conference that he has lined-up the young Arsenal forward.

Carlos Vela was speaking to the native media, how well he recovers and which sharpness Mexico need to get their chance to win the Gold Cup!

“I feel me good, I am very satisfied of the improvement that I have made since last week and I’m going to be ready before Haiti, hope that everything should go out well and there should be nothing that prevents me from taking into consideration”

“We have been improved very much , but we must be more concentrated and we need to use every opportunity”

“It is necessary to be much concentrated on the defensive part, because sometimes we are lacking concentration, so that we need to understand that this is a match of direct elimination”.

Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has talked to the local newspaper “Reforma” about his injury, as well as that  he works hard to get back into the Mexican side, when they face Panama in the second Match of this years CONCACAF Gold Cup (COPA DEL ORO). Vela is serious a big doubt for Mexico’s head coach Javier Aguirre, but he could be back at least on the bench, as he was surprisingly back yesterday in training, with a light jogging program.

“It was an unfortunate thing that this happened because it was a good opportunity to get in more minutes,”But this is part of the game. You can never plan on when you will injure yourself and when you won’t. But I need to try and work hard to overcome this, get back on the team and participate in the cup.”

“When it happens, you think the worst because you fear you’ve torn something,”The good thing is that I was able to get my leg free at the last moment and thank God it was only a scare and we hope it doesn’t happen again.”

“I hasn’t much time to watch the game and so I cannot give any analysis of the game.”

Vela also spoke about the importantce to win the the first match of a tournament and how it will help in the coming matches.

“The first game is always complicated, because of the nerves, You want to score a goal quickly and it doesn’t always work out.”
