Arsenal forward Carlos Vela has handed short performances from Manager Arsene Wenger, as Arsenal was defeated by Hull City on Saturday, as well as the Gunners thrashed FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League clash on Tuesday evening.
Vela showed again in both fixtures, that he can be a very vital player for the Gunners already in the closer future. Especially in the Porto match, we could saw again his composure, his technique on the ball, as well as his smile on his face.
The magic moment came as, Carlos past four Porto players inside the box, before his run was stopped by a strange situation, with Nicklas Bendtner. Vela got another one, as he run on the left hand side to deliver beautifully Emmanuel Eboue, but the Ivorian missed the target from 5 yards.
Carlos Vela News have started today a voting in the evening, where all Arsenal and Vela fans can give us their mind, whether the young Mexican deserves to start against Sunderland or not?

I would say no because it is not the right fixture to start the boy yet. It would be more comfortable for Vela to have some sort of familiar surrounding (Emirates) to get is 1st EPL start as a Gunner. We havent even completed the 1st chapter of the season so lots of time for him.
yep agree with joe but should start off like walcott always a sub in probably 5-6 yrs top 10 best player in da world walcott maybe 3-4 yrs best player in the world
I don’t think he’s ready to start a crucial away game against a team like Sunderland. Arsene likes to start new players slowly – Carling Cup and a few substitute appearances to build his confidence and give him time to adjust to the speed and physicality of the Premier League. Arsene needs to use his experienced strikers especially as they both just scored two goals, which should mean their confidence is up. Carlos will get his chances to start games before this season is over, so it would be wrong to risk knocking his confidence in a game where he could take a physical battering. I do not want to see another Reyes, or worse Eduardo situation for him.
i agree ,,too early to start him ,we need to stay in touch and get rythym in our performances,,,rvp and adabayor need game time to refine their partnership

I think we should start playing him at home. Sunderland can be a tough nut that is why we should play our storngest 11. There is also an international break coming up so we dont have to rest anybody for the championsleague or something like that…..
i feel wenger wants to give rvp and ade a chance a build a solid partnership because they realy have not played together that mush,when ade joined,rvp was injured,mush of last season he was also injued and ade and edardo was building a great partnership,you can see that ade and rvp is builing a great partnership and i dont think wenger should break that,but i would use vela as an impact player for now and would want touse him for carling cup games
start him on the left flanc, he did spend 2 years playing left winger in Spain, he has some practice at it, at least better than a right back on a left wing… Could be nice with some speed on both sides with vela left and walcott right

I agree he should stay in the bench for a while … this will help his development.
He need more time to get his confidence.I put all blame to ade and van persie and the rest who waste a lot of chances on the first half.if the first 11 could use all the chances they get on first and take us half time with 3-0 then will be more good to people like vela and ben to come on as sub at the 60th minutes to build themselves up.but people always make the game so hard and wait for the last minute to kill the game and that makes hard for wenger to do changes on the right time .we wasted a lot of chances on first half against hull city and ended up to loose.that game could be over by first half.wenger need to tell them to shoot more when they have chances especial inside the box.

evey1 used to say henry bergkamp partnership is the best for arsenal, once it had finished arsenal supporters were saying arsenal r finished, then ade and RVP cum along then it is going to be vela and walcott!!!!
I would say give the dude a chance. It would be an interesting combo having him on the flank where Theo currently plays, and move Theo to center-forward. This would basically read:
