Arsenal striker Carlos Vela took part in an intensive training session with his Mexican teammates at the local based training complex in Mexico City on Monday.
New Mexico head coach Sven Göran Eriksson called them on Tuesday to another training session, where the players could regenerate with some ball units, as well as a team meeting.
Vela is expected to feature in Eriksson’s starting line-up tomorrow with strike partner Guillermo Franco, when the Mexican selection take on Honduras in the evening.
Kick-off at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is at 8pm local time (3am CET).
