Arsenal’s Carlos Vela Will Be Facing Real Madrid

3 05 2008

Arsenal’s on loan prodigy Carlos Vela is in action on Sunday evening in La Liga, when his loan club CA Osasuna Pamplona take on Spanish champions Real Madrid, in another very vital game for Vela’s side to stay in the Spanish top league.

The Osasunistas lost their away match on last Sunday against Valencia FC, and coach Jose Angel Ziganda is now under pressure with four upcoming matches. First Bernd Schuster’s Real Madrid on Sunday at home, who by then could have become Champions and then they are flying to Spanish island Mallorca to face RCD Real Mallorca.

Carlos Vela will start on the left hand side to support former Real Madrid player Javier Portillo up front. Ziganda must change his formation, because Spanish Winger Juanfran picked up a red card at Mestalla and will be not available. Spanish teenager Cesar Azpilicueta is expected to fill in on the right wing as well as that Javier Flano will come in to be place as right back.

The reigning champion Real Madrid have the chance to win the spanish league title on Sunday if they beat the side from coach Jose Angel Ziganda, but for sure the Pamplona outfit will fight on the pitch for their life to avoid relegation for the club.

Arsenal’s mexican prospect Carlos Vela will make a better performance against the world class side as in the last matches, to keep his loan club Osasuna in La Liga, when he joins Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal for the next season.

Vela had at Estadio Bernabeu a magic moment as he fopped spanish world class defender Sergio Ramos in the left corner with a backheel trick.

Vela’s side are currently 17th with 40 points, and Real Madrid are currently the number one in the table with 75 points so very close to become champions, and of course firm favourite’s to turn over the hosts on Sunday and collect all three points.

Kickoff at Estadio Reyno de Navarra in Pamplona is on Sunday 5th May 9pm (CET) and 8pm English time.

The Osasunistas have not available midfielder Ludovic Delporte as well as Swiss international Xavier Margairaz about injuries plus cape verde striker Eduardo Dady is doubtful.
